The charitable mission of The Harrisburg St. Patrick's Day Parade Association is community focused. We create opportunities to share Irish culture and history with Central Pennsylvania. We focus on social, economic, political, religious and educational issues of our community. We welcome invitations to participate in diversity programs, cultural festivals and international gatherings to share our heritage. The Harrisburg St. Patrick’s Day Parade Association awards scholarships in celebration of our heritage to students for higher education. We will assist deserving high school students or college underclassmen in pursuing college or technical and trade education. $500 awards are made on the basis of scholastic ability, goals and character of the applicant, extra-curricular activities, and/or financial need. A demonstrated interest in Irish heritage is required. The number of scholarships varies each year. In 2011, 6 scholarships were awarded. All information received from the applicant is strictly confidential. All information must be accurate and complete. To be eligible, the application packet must include:
